Juliet Howland



As a professional actress, Juliet has worked extensively in theatre, television and film. She has just worked on Xavier Dolan's film 'The Death and Life of John F Donovan' with Jacob Tremblay from the film 'Room' . She played Liev Schreiber's wife, Dorothy Townsend, in the film 'The Painted Veil', alongside Edward Norton and Naomi Watts, played Emma Stone in 'Iris', alongside Judi Dench and Jim Broadbent and will soon be seen in the feature films 'Scott and Sid' ; 'The Last Photograph' (with Danny Huston) and 'Astral' with Frank Dillane . She was also in 'Deux Freres' with Guy Pearce, 'Legacy' with Idris Elba and 'V for Vendetta'.  


Her television work includes Casualty ( out on April 1st 2017) , Drifters, Guilt, Crashing, The Royals, Mistresses, A Touch of Frost, Skins, Distant Shores, Poirot, Doctors, Hotel Babylon, Colditz, Eastenders and will also be seen in ITV's two part drama, 'Innocent', this Spring. 

She has appeared in over 30 plays in Regional and Repertory Theatre throughout the UK and in London's West End and throughout the summer of 2010 she played Moya Lexington in the multi award-winning play 'After The Dance' by Terence Rattigan, with Benedict Cumberbatch and Nancy Carroll, at The National Theatre, London and in Atunm 2015 was in The Magna Carta Plays at Salisbury Playhouse. 

On 13th November this year, Juliet worked with Hugh Bonneville and Christpher Timothy at The Chichester Festival Theatre in ' In a South Downs Way.'

Juliet also performs her music at gigs and festivals across the South and used to perfom regularly at The National Theatre's Concert Pitch. In November 2011 she travelled to Singapore to perform at The Esplanade, at Capella on Sentosa and on the Island Pulau Ubin.

From an early age music and singing have been a large part of Juliet's life. Aged 8, she began to learn the piano, at 11 the flute and at 18 the guitar and although she has been singing, writing and composing for many years, she only began performing her material live in 2007. After meeting producer Rob Seals in Los Angeles she began working towards recording her first album with him. She returned to LA on three occasions to record with him in his studio in Burbank ... where 'A Promise of Return' came to life. In April 2012 she went back to the studio in LA to record 'Innocent Love', part of her James Joyce 'Distant Music' trilogy and in October 2014 she returned from LA having completed her song 'Light A Candle'. Yet again she worked with Rob Seals, Gavin Lurssen and Reuben Cohen on this project.
